Ranger 21 was designed in 1957 by Carl Goldberg and produced as a kit until the late 1970’s.  It was intended to help new modelers achieve success in building model airplanes that also flew well. The BMJR kit, designed by Paul Bradley, is a replica of the original. Model is of all sheet balsa construction and has a 21” span with 76 sq. in of area.

Ranger 28, Also designed in 1957 by Carl Goldberg has  a 28” wing span and  102 sq. in of wing area. This model is a hybrid with features of the sheet balsa  models of the time, with tissue covered built up structure. The fuselage is assembled from laser cut parts much like a jigsaw puzzle,  that then gets tissue covered.  This was a great model to introduce modelers to the world of a tissue covered built up structure.
